Sit cross legged in a quiet place with your back straight. Now breathe in and breathe out. Sit in this position for five minutes and keep breathing. Now, stand up and do a few stretching exercises.
1. Take your arms up and stand on your toes.(5 times)
2. Keeping your arms up, slowly bring them down and touch your toes.(5 times)

Boys, yesterday we started Chapter - 3 in E.V.S. We learnt about the different characteristics of plants. Today we are going to  write them in our notebooks. So, take out your E.V.S. notebooks and write the following work neatly.

Q. Write a few characteristics of plants.
Ans. Following are the few characteristics of plants:
1. Plants are of different sizes and shapes.
2. Plants can grow on land, in water, hot deserts, in freezing cold 
and on top of very high mountains.
3. There are plants that live and die in one or two years but some live for many years.
     * one year - annual
     * two years - biennial
     * many years - perennial
4. Plants can have woody or soft stems.
5. Plants can be flowering or non - flowering.

*Cross out the word that is not a noun.
*Put the missing letters to make a word.
*Sort the common and proper nouns.

Boys, yesterday we started nouns in English Language. Hope the video sent helped you and I am sure you did the activity too in your notebooks. Now do exercises E and F on pg. 10 and exercises C and D on pg. 13. Those who don't have books can use a loose sheet and write the date and heading and do the work on that. Please keep the sheets safely in a folder.

Boys today do this fun activity in your Math notebooks. Choose any four digits eg. 7583 and then make the largest and the smallest numbers using those digits. See the sample, but please do not use the same digits as in the sample.

Boys, in Math we are starting with the new topic- addition. Take out 
your Math notebooks and write these facts on addition.

1. When you change the order of numbers while adding the sum/answer does not change. eg.
      24                                   42
    +42                OR            +24
      66                                   66

2. If you add zero to any number the answer is the number itself. eg.
       670 + 0 = 670

3. If you add 1 to any number, the answer is the number after the given number. eg.
      571 + 1 = 572 ( Given number is 571)
