Good morning dear students and parents,
How are you my boys? Hope and pray that you all are fine. On 13th you all have your English Language and English Literature FA1, please prepare well for that. 
Let's start the day boys. Join your hands and close your eyes to say the Lord's Prayer.

7:30 - 7:45 Heartfulness
Sit comfortably in a quiet place with your backs straight, legs crossed and eyes closed. Now breathe in and breathe out. This will energize and you will feel fresh.

7:45 - 7:55 aqad
Go to www.aqad.in and check your answers the next day.

LO - Learners will be able to:
*Understand and write the rules of singular/plural.

Boys, today we are going to start a new topic - Singular / Plural. We have learnt about the rules of numbers in class two as well.
*Singular means one
*Plural means more than one
Now take out your English Language notebooks/ loose sheets and write the work given below very neatly.

Points to remember:
1. A noun standing for one person, animal, place or thing is said to be in the singular noun.
2. A noun standing for more than one person, animal, place or thing is said to be in the plural number.

Boys, today I am asking you to do these two word problems in your Math notebooks/ loose sheets. Please write the statements for the problem sums. You might have to write three statements also.

Q 5. Name any two functions of roots.
Ans. The following are the functions of roots:
a. They hold the plant firmly to the ground.
b. They take in water and mineral salts from the ground.

Q 6. What are the parts of the shoot system?
Ans. The shoot system consists of the stem, leaves, branches, buds, flowers, fruits and seeds.

Q 7. What is photosynthesis? What does a plant need for it?
Ans. The process by which leaves prepare food for the plant in the presence of sunlight is called photosynthesis.
A plant requires water, minerals and carbon - di - oxide for photosynthesis.
