LO - Learners will be able to:
*Write and learn the functions of the plants.
Boys, let's do a quick recap of the functions of the parts of a plant. Please learn them also. Take out your E.V.S. notebooks and do the following work neatly.

22.5.20                 Plants....(L - 3)
The following are the main parts of a plant and their functions:
1. Roots - hold the plant firmly to the ground, absorb water and minerals from the soil.
2. Stem - provides support to the plant, carries water and minerals from the roots to other parts of the plant, carries food from the leaves to the other parts.
3. Leaves - manufacture food with the help of water, carbon di oxide, minerals and sunlight. They have pores that help the plant to breathe.
4. Flowers - help the plant to reproduce, produce fruits and seeds.
5. Fruits - store extra food, contain seeds that give rise to new plants.
