DAY 3 WEEK - 3 DATE - 23.4.2020

Good morning dear students and parents,

How are you boys? Hope you all are fine and taking good care of yourselves and rest of the family members. Am sure you are also following your parents' instructions and helping them with the household chores. Be a support to your them.

Boys, let's start with today's work.

7:30 - 7:45 Say the Lord's Prayer.
Today we'll do a few yoga exercises.* Sit on the floor with your legs crossed and start breathing in and out. *Now stretch your legs in the front and touch your toes with your hands. *Stand up straight, stretch your arms up with your hands joined and now go up on your toes. This is called the " Tree Pose "( Do each exercise 10 times). Play the music given in the link.

1st period - English Literature
LO - Learners will be able to:
*Read the chapter with understanding.
*Write the new words and learn them.

Boys today we will start the new chapter in English Literature -"The Magic Brush "
This story is adapted from a Chinese folk tale and it is about a young boy by the name of Ma Liang. He is given a magic brush by an old man and his adventures begin. Let's read and find out how the story unfolds. Take out your Seasons Book and open page no. 9. Press the link to read with me and listen to the explanation to understand it better.

Now take out your Math notebook and do the following Asset sums. Read, understand and then write the answers. Write the heading "Asset Sums" and only write the answers in the notebook. 



4th period - Art (See Mrs. Sehgal's blog and comment)

5th period - G.K.
LO - Learners will be able to:
*Identify wide variety of animals.
*Write facts on animals.

Take out your E.V.S. notebook and at the back page do this G.K. work. Write the heading -Animal World

Boys, yesterday the chapter was explained to you in the video. Hope it helped in understanding it better. Now take out your E.V.S. notebooks and do this work neatly.

23.4.2020                   Animals And Human Beings

Q 1. How are human beings different from other animals? Mention three points.
Ans. Human beings are different from other animals in the following ways:
a. They walk in an upright position. This leaves their upper limbs free to do many things.

b. Their backbone can bend forward, backward and sideways, allowing them to bend or stoop easily.

c. Human beings have a more developed brain than other animals. They can think, reason out and do many things that animals cannot do.

Q 2. What do bees communicate to other bees by doing a kind of dance?
Ans. Bees do a kind of dance to inform other bees where, in which direction, in what form and how much nectar or juice is available.

7th period - Math
LO - Learners will be able to:
*Recall the ascending / descending order.
*Write the numbers in AO or DO.

Boys, open page number 86 and do sum no. 2 and 3 WITHOUT using the SYMBOLS. We did ascending and descending order few days back, this exercise will be a recap of what we did.

8th period - Hindi (See Mrs. Malagar's blog and comment)
Boys, we have come to the end of the day.
